Senior Consultant – Financial accounting & reporting

We are looking for a colleague who will strengthen our team of Financial Accounting Advisory Services. Our FAAS professionals are key business advisors to the CFOs, Controllers, and Treasurers of companies.

We provide advisory services encompassing:

  • Accounting and regulatory support on accounting change in IFRS (conversions, new standards implementation) and Czech Accounting Legislation
  • Financial consolidation
  • Transactional accounting
  • Digitalization of consolidation process
  • Short-term assignments to finance functions – accounting specialist, compliance specialist, consolidation specialist, controller, etc.
  • Finance function strategic transformation
  • Accounting, reporting, and controlling process design and information systems implementation
  • Finance process optimization and automation incl. Robotics Process Automation
  • Data analytics and visualization

Your job responsibilities – specific responsibilities are depending on projects:

  • You will assist with the project delivery and project management both during on-site as well as off-site client support and you will report to the project manager or more senior colleagues.
  • During the projects you will be led to manage your daily tasks independently, cooperate with other EY team members, and communicate to client’s personnel
  • You will be maintaining cooperative relationships and foster mutual support with other EY service line teams
  • You will be developing your skills and experience with new technologies as well and you will be learning from the senior colleagues and managers how to tackle the new challenges you are facing.
  • You will learn and then apply all analytical, technical, and interpersonal skills in this role.
  • You will be attending training programs to continually develop skills, etc.

Our requirements:

  • Required knowledge in any of the below areas (and preferred up to 2-3 years working experience):

- Financial reporting or management reporting
- Consolidation
- Audit experience within external/internal audit
- Other accounting advisory experience

  • Accounting Czech GAAP/IFRS knowledge and willingness to continuously keep your knowledge up to date with the new evolvements
  • Financial consolidation experience is welcomed
  • Interest in new digital and analytical tools used within finance functions
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Access)
  • Willingness to operate in a variety of sectors
  • Analytical mindset, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Basic project management skills
  • Good communication skills both in Czech/Slovak and English

What would be an advantage / nice to have:

  • ACCA qualification (or in progress) is welcomed
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP and Consolidation SW
